Supposedly the number one for ratings televised women’s sporting event in history coming up on Netflix. Women’s boxing.

Donald Trump is the best fry person ever. He should consider it a new calling. They can pay him with free Arnold Palmers. His hands are perfectly suited for handling French fries.

This is interesting, shouldn’t be partisan and what good government does. Find ways to protect citizens and keep open the sandbox where content creators are compensated, but held to a standard for the public wellbeing.

Facebook won’t allow Canadian journalism on their platform bc they don’t want to pay for that work. But they are fine to keep content paid for by Russia on their sites, even if it’s propaganda meant to undermine our democracy. Conservative MP’s sided with Facebook, wonder why 🤔

Survivors observation. We need more demystify of accessing mental healthcare services. Populist rhetoric fomenting is frightening. Social reintegration post covid needs to create openings and opportunities for adults struggling to reenter the changed culture & economy.

📖 For every $1 in student loan debt canceled, $1.50 is generated in economic activity. It’s a smart investment in our future!

According to a study I read one in fourteen student loan borrowers feels so helpless about their student debt it causes suicidal ideation. If people refuse to pay en mass the system will break. Borrowers have power.

🎓💸 Over 40% of student loan borrowers say their debt affects their mental health. Student debt cancellation is not just financial—it's a matter of well-being!

Watching Alvin and Chipmunks Halloween special with me Son. Dad life, Saturday. Early thanksgiving pecan smoked rajun Cajun turkey with jigs tomorrow. Fusion food and fun weekend.

The Federal Government has a role to play. It’s high time the Fed makes PSE funding a dedicated stream of money post pandemic with teeth to hold bloated administrations accountable on Tuition, fees and housing. Also, cancel student debt now!!! @CFSNL

Especially in light of a once in a century pandemic. People are still struggling to get back in the economy. Left behind, cannot afford student debt crisis, financial crisis, housing crisis, and sociopathic policies that were designed for a world that no longer exists.

Education is an investment, but student debt shouldn’t be the cost. We need cancellation now!

Amen to that.

Good news for anyone whose job or travel takes them outside the U.S. This week, the @StateDept made it possible for Americans to renew their passport online, an easier, streamlined way to get what you need before a trip. cbsnews.com/news/passport-…

Can confirm that MN truck guys are particular about air filters. Haha, particular about particulate filters. I’ll see myself out. Sorry everyone.

Pro-tips of the day:  #1 Clean your air filter  #2 Know that when somebody writes up a manual like Project 2025, they plan on using it

So the federal party that is allegedly enjoying a massive lead in the polls lost *both* by-elections yesterday. That seems ... odd.

Just four companies in the U.S. control: 85% of beef processing 80% of corn seed distribution 77% of fertilizer production 69% of grocery sales Wondering why food prices are so high? Minimal competition means maximized price-gouging.

I think handing the keys to the Conservative Party of Canada will lead to a plundering and theft of Canadas future for the sake of a few gotcha TikTok clowns. Canada needs more time to recover and heal, not Economic Nationalism with weird CPC populism and voodoo economics.

What does the NDP even stand for anymore? They’re caving to Pierre and abandoning dental care, pharmacare, school food program, and long-term seniors care. He’s even walking away from climate action with no plan of their own (not even the "concept" of a plan!)

One would hope the operator of the tin-can going 500MPH through the stratosphere would be compensated for not letting people die while reducing travel to three hours from what would take three days by car. 🤷

The willingness of the feds to suspend Charter rights & intervene in collective bargaining is alarming. So is NL gov’s encouragement of such intervention. The Charter right of union members to engage in bargaining & strike, if necessary, must be respected. #NLPoli

Zero chance that happens if the Conservative Party of Canada takes a chainsaw to healthcare spending. That’s why I’m voting ABC. And won’t vote NDP if Jagmeet triggers a fall election with reckless pandering to a name calling Trumpian CPC leader.

It would help if doctors and the government rolled out reminder systems. In the hospital system the confirm appointment texts / reminders is an opt in by discipline. Ortho for example has NOT opted in.
