Westside Stride was wonderful today and I’m glad that Howell Mill is being activated in a car-free way…but the drivers angrily avoiding the closed streets are worse than usual. All to say, I got no-look-right-turned into! Don’t be that guy who does this and then speeds away! 💓
how it feels to bicycle
Calida Rawles’ exhibit at @pamm is a painful, but important, highlighting of the ways in which urban highways led to the mass displacement and disenfranchisement of Miami’s Black communities. Very much in-line w/ @SegByDesign’s great work. We need to teardown, repair and restore
My e-bikes hot take: E-bikes should be pedal assist only; no throttled models. If you want a moped, get a moped. If you want to ride on MUPs & trails, you gotta pedal with assistance. Yeah I said it.
Nothing beats seeing @MARTAtransit’s potential in the flesh - 6:45am rush with a *perfect* transfer 💙
<24hrs in Miami but that’s no reason to not ride @GoMiamiDade’s Metrorail. 15min from @iflymia to Brickell, all for $2. Not to mention the activated green space + trails @theunderlinemia are excellent for walking and running, especially with the shade protecting me from the ☀️
this cool bridge was built for the sole purpose of accessing burgers (Webers Hamburgers in Orillia, ON)
You should have to pay for parking
I wish Atlanta was a city where people feared reprisal for parking their cars in bike lanes, instead of feeling comfortable that they'll experience zero retribution.
boo. the concrete barricades on 10th can’t come soon enough
Quick trip to Detroit: - the @detpeoplemover is very convenient on hot days - @transitapp’s integration with @MoGoDetroit (Detroit’s bike share) made it easy to find/rent bikes! The infra could use some TLC though… - Central Station is absolutely stunning and worth visiting
Really @ATLDOT? Just watched two elderly folks walk through the bike lane to get around this sign that’s completely blocking the sidewalk on 10th. @ATLWatershed’s problems are enough, but to also indicate closures by blocking pedestrian access? Do better!
