Just put ACPs on the consultant rota too and be done, it'll be way cheaper. If senior doctors are happy to oversee a department where their juniors are so brazenly replaced and displaced, they should also offer their shifts and posts up. To do otherwise is simply elitist.

Someone from Leeds (LGI) that knows this rota needs to explain firstly why you would substitute a Dr doing an on call shift for a non Dr on a Dr's rota & secondly why if someone has been accepted to a shift, how it is ever right or fair to remove that shift without v good reason?

It is a national scandal that we have a GP job crisis in this country, with 1000’s of GP’s unable to find work. Some GP’s have resorted to signing on for universal credit or working in Tesco, because there are simply no jobs for them. The public deserve better @wesstreeting
