A busy day in my podcast world, which includes the most recent episode of my podcast, speaking with Joanne and Bec on their book (and my framing through a “progressive” lens), and later today watch for a drop connected a certain premier’s visit this weekend 👀

After many years of listening it was a treat to appear on the AUSTRALIA IN THE WORLD podcast with my "Girt by Sea" co-author @becstrating! Thank you @limdarrenj for your thoughtful questions! australiaintheworld.podbean.com/?s=09

There’s no-one whose views on development (and many other topics besides!) I respect and value more than @bridirice so it was a real thrill to be interviewed for her podcast!

On AUSTRALIA IN THE WORLD @HayleyChanner and I talk our favourite topic, economic security / geoeconomics, in light of the Future Made in Australia Act and the US tariffs on PRC green tech. Much to discuss! australiaintheworld.podbean.com/e/ep-130-econo…

This. This one tweet summarises the past day. One can easily take issue with the economics of the Biden tariffs, but what I’m not seeing is politically sustainable alternatives, esp given the ~50% chance Trump is President come January.

a matter of judgment -- no doubt one debated inside the administration. my view, like that of the administration, is that there is no politically sustainable green transition that is also a transition to Chinese clean energy supply.

Latest AUSTRALIA IN THE WORLD was recorded Fri, 1-year since Allan’s death. @stephendziedzic joined to discuss a range of thorny issues, incl Sols vote, India’s alleged shady acts, AUKUS & Palestinian statehood, all topics where Allan’s views are missed : australiaintheworld.podbean.com/e/ep-128-sols-…
