Not a fan of the term “DeFi” lately. Sounds too “solution chasing a problem”. I now prefer “Future of Finance”.
I think what’s disheartening about FTX (and 3AC, Celsius etc) is that we thought we saw rapid adoption of crypto, but in fact adoption for the true ideals of crypto is much slower. Did we ever achieve PMF?
Oh man teachers
Just occurred to me: a lot of x to earn projects failed b/c they used their tokenomics to hack SAME SIDE network effect (more users now, more expensive for me to get in), while CROSS SIDE n/e is the true holy grail.
Still see a lot of web3 pitches start with “what we are building is…” while it should really be “the problem we are solving is…”
