A giant, and a wonderful person. I feel very fortunate to have known Anil. Most memorable aspect: his contagious laugh!

NMRS India mourns the passing of Prof. Anil Kumar, Emeritus Scientist, IISc Bangalore. His contributions to Magnetic Resonance are immense and uncountable. An excellent researcher, teacher, and human being. The MR community has lost a shining gem from India.

Are you a PhD graduate in the Life Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science, Math or Computer Science? Apply for the Max Planck-Weizmann Joint Postdoctoral Program. Includes a fully funded four-year position, split equally between these two esteemed institutions >>

With the passing of Alex Pines the world is a bit dimmer today. Alex was a great scientist, but even a greater mentsch. His generosity, empathy and "firgun" were contagious, and turned people from self-centered, into open and caring. May his memory be a blessing יהי זכרו ברוך

Read open access at pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…. Don't miss the SI showing some beautifully simple steady states that INEPT-SSFP leads to when described in Vega's fictitious two-spin operators expanded Bloch spheres. Strikingly similar to the traditional SSFP expectation - but better

Two widely used sequences to increase MR’s SNR are SSFP, a pillar of MRI, and INEPT, a staple of 13C NMR. INEPT requires few carefully set pulses; SSFP requires endless trains of rapid pulses. See how SSFP and INEPT is combined into one experiment with multiplicative SNR benefits

Prof. Lucio Frydman @lab_lucio @WeizmannScience is the 2025 recipient of the Broida Award @APSphysics for outstanding achievements in NMR, and for extending single-shot multidimensional techniques from solid and solution state NMR into magnetic resonance imaging in vivo #NMRchat

Congratulations to our spring 2025 prizes and awards recipients! The winners were chosen by a panel of their peers for their outstanding contributions in #research, #education, and #PublicService. Learn more about their award-winning work: go.aps.org/48cXpKL

…mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cp… also got a nice cover feature - testimony to the quality of Tamar's and Yuval's ingenuity. Congratulation Yuval on your first paper: we are sure many will follow!

Proton-proton dipolar order can not only persist under magic-angle-spinning: it can also be used to sensitize ultrawide line MAS NMR spectra of nearby low-gamma spins via their indirect detection! Check this out in …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cp…

pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac… Another demonstration on the power of steady-state methods for imaging metabolism - this time led by our collaborators in Wuhan, and foremost by our colleague and friend Dr. Qingjia Bao

Congratulations Dr Tamar Wolf, not only for your handsome graduation outfit but also for receiving this week the Kennedy Prize - arguably the top distinction that Weizmann gives to its annual PhD Dissertations.

The way to reducing dilution in dissolution DNP is long, and starts with "powdery" samples. So here we go: Great work from Angeliki et al showing one way of doing it. And first paper for our undergrad student Korin! Mazal tov Korin, and cake is on you! pubs.acs.org/doi/epdf/10.10…
