Mind blown.. it really is true
Every year, billions of vehicles worldwide shed an estimated 6 million tonnes of tire fragments. These tiny flakes of plastic generated by normal driving account for 28% of microplastics entering the environment globally. Heavy SUVs/Trucks/EVs especially. theconversation.com/car-tyres-shed…
I’ve always felt this video demonstrates how cyclists are not a threat. The chap was quite happy to suddenly step in the cyclist’s way. They obviously did not fear getting hurt by a collision. Would they do that in front of a moving car?
Well done that man!! At least someone stands up to these cycling thugs!!
I honestly think this is huge. We’ve oriented everything around determinism. It breaks the brains of many engineers to deal with things that don’t always provide the same output for a given input. Huge opportunity for engineers who overcome that gap.
The key skill to develop in order to take advantage of LLMs is being able to find useful ways to apply a fundamentally unreliable technology Maybe the reason programmers find this hard is that the whole point of programming is that computers do exactly what you tell them to
As we use probabilistic technology to build deterministic work flows (and vice versa) we'll want to show any broken logic
Each and every fresh snow reveals how much we’ve over-designed our streets and roads for cars, making them faster and more dangerous, and how much space we could reclaim for people and public life. We call them #sneckdowns. GIF via @otucis #sneckdown https://t.co/gJERGg9ZA1

Amsterdam pilots optical road marks to suggest roads are narrower than they really are. It helps car drivers respect the new 30 km/h speed limit.

Take AI and job replacement serious! We need to discuss the future of living, we need to find a solution for this upcoming storm. I am 100% serious. People are still in disbelief about whats coming.
It's amazing how an election loss, even as big as this one, still doesn't put a dent in the thinking that lost it.

A přitom výměna stojí 4 stovky a zabere necelé dvě minuty.
