Durward’s Glen is a unique natural area owned as a religious retreat destination that is open to the public. Some trails overlooking the Glen, as well as areas to explore down inside by the water

Lower Narrow State Natural Area is now one of my favorite places to explore. Views are fantastic and there is a small, steep trail heading up to the top of the former quarry wall

Baraboo Hills State Recreation Area: Potter Preserve - such a strange area with a complete lack of information online and signage upon arrive, there are remains from a former landowner and trails using overgrown asphalt driveways and pathways around the property

Exploring Pewit’s Nest SRA. Much of the original trail has been closed off, but there are plenty of smaller trails around the base and oppose side if you cross the water. Waterfall is nearly impossible to see unless you feel like going for a swim I believe

Dells of the Wisconsin River - Crandall Pines Trail - Haven’t seen many places mention that there is a trail out here, but there is a nice loop out on River Road out past the Chula where you can see down towards Witches Gulch from up above

A look at the old Fire Tower atop Elephant’s Back from the Chula parking lot. Wisconsin officially retired fire tower use after the 2015 season

Hulburt Creek Fishing Area and Woods - located out on County H passed the Polynesian. No trails other than a snowmobile route through a portion of it. The spelling on this one tripped up the sign maker and the owner of the Hulbert Creek Shoppes across from Paul Bunyan

Lots of land to explore in the Dells Creek Wildlife Area. No trails that I know of but plenty of parking lots scattered throughout to use when heading in

Former Fort Dells site located behind the “Log Cabin McDonalds.” Very overgrown but lots of building foundations and a couple of bridges still exist on the land
