Politics tragic, decidedly left of centre with a pragmatic streak. Views are strictly my own. Higher Ed employee. Follows and rts do not = endorsement.

The creepyness test for #AI use in industry, SMEs and institutions. When it gets creepy, you know you’ve crossed a line… seems legit. #AILEADERSHIP #AIAUSTRALIA

Ok, I’m a card carrying, left wing, #Labor #ALP stalwart, but I think this is good for Australian democracy. @_DaveSharma is a good example of where Centre right and Centre left can meet. He just needs to reject the #LNP koolaid and think for himself. abc.net.au/news/2023-11-2…

So, #Australia, how’s your #Brexit thing feeling this morning? 😢🤦🏻‍♂️ #TheVoice #TheVoiceToParliament

It takes real chutzpah for the Coalition to have occupied the government benches for 21 of the last 27 years and blame everyone else for failures in Indigenous policy.

If the No campaign succeeds on Saturday it will have won off the back of an unprecedented campaign of absolute horseshit… an epic spread of porky pies. This is a very good resource to combat a few ridiculous claims. 👇 #yes23 theguardian.com/australia-news…

Extremely pleased to announce that @UniSouthPacific and @IRUAustralia signed a collaborative MoU in Brisbane this am. We have agreed to collaborate on a range of academic activities and programs, aimed at lifting our #research profiles. Special thanks to @paddynixon & team.

Great turnout in #Queanbeyan for #TheVoice this morning. Great day for a walk and a great day to support an Indigenous Voice to Parliament. Solid support from passing motorists too! #VoteYes #VoteYesAustralia

Let’s hope we can look back later this year and see that we have all “risen to the occasion” as @AlboMP has entreated us to do today on #TheVoice.

Australia's research capability has grown and it is no longer the case that the very best research happens only in a few universities. Read IRU Chair @paddynixon in today's @australian: theaustralian.com.au/higher-educati…

This won’t age well…

I see Lidia Thorpe has withdrawn the allegations she made in the Senate today about one of her Senate colleagues. The whole Senate, regardless of politics should move to suspend her from the Senate for a year. Never have I seen such an appallingly misuse of privilege.

This, 1,000 times this 🤦🏻‍♂️

The hide of the LNP to make these accusations. Particularly in Eden-Monaro which takes in the king of pork barreling #porkbarilaro’s old NSW State seat of #Monaro. They have no shame.

You can’t make this stuff up. The Libs & Nats deliberately chose not to deliver for Eden-Monaro for 10 years & are now having a go at us for doing what we said we’d do! #auspol #mightyedenmonaro👇
