I hear negative feedback from landlords whenever I share reminders to our tenants about our rent control policy. This is why I do it. We've had rent control for 7 months. We've held informational meetings for landlords + tenants. Still, our tenants receive illegal increases.

This proposed bill is not just misguided, it’s discriminatory. Being of Hispanic descent does not equate to criminal activity. Targeting a whole community with the threat of being labeled as terrorists based on ethnicity is a step backward. This is not what our state stands for.
