ICYMI: In December, @sengonzalez_33 and I delivered $8 million to @supjanicehahn and @lacountyarts to support the creation of the SELA Cultural Center. With this funding, we're one big step closer to bringing this state-of-the-art facility home to Southeast LA.

Amazing news for SELA, and the world beyond. I'm so grateful for our community who showed up and spoke out today for Southeast LA.
This motion just passed unanimously. Thank you to my colleagues and to every person who showed up, called or wrote in to us to express your support. This is such an important project for Southeast LA, and I can't wait to see it open its doors.
