THIS is what democracy SHOULD look like: elected officials from different parties working together. 💕Thanks Rachel Baker & @AndreaWhite2020 for transcending partisanship to protect ALL OHIO NURSES! @ohionursesassoc instagram.com/p/DCnHIJxAN6B/…

As a seasoned poll worker, I got to discuss the nuances in new Ohio voter ID requirements with Secretary of State, @FrankLaRose at @WarpedWing He reminded everyone that poll workers are volunteers, who are also your neighbors, and urged- Pls be patient & kind to PWs on Nov 5! 🇺🇸

Know where your vote can really change things in your neighborhood or school district? It's in the races for mysterious jobs like Clerk of Courts. We need someone to accurately track and share what happens in our courts, and I think my friend Lynn Cooper will be great at it!

Thanks to my good friends at @WIRED, I'm ready for this evening's show.

I was super-chuffed to attend an event in Cincinnati with some @ANANursingWorld -Ohio pals where we heard from the amazing, Dr. Amy Acton! She was enthused about @Vot_ER_org , so I gave her my badge & lanyard. If you want your own Vot-ER badge kit, visit vot-er.org/badge/

"The nursing shortage" is at least 50 years old now. Current ONA survey findings reinforce the obvious; 5 million RNs should be plenty, but ever fewer are willing to tolerate hospital and ECF working conditions. instagram.com/p/C8pr3Z4z5v-/…

There are 5 million Registered (ie eligible to practice) Nurses in the USA-more than ever. Also there's a chronic "shortage" of nurses willing to work in hospitals & nursing homes. Hospital Associations insist it's a supply prob. Do you believe them? bit.ly/ONA-NurseStaff…

Whistle blowing has too long been an isolating and dangerous undertaking, yet the public largely relies on self-sacrificing individuals to reveal crucial information that ought not to have been secret in the first place. @wendellpotter and friends are working to change this.

"CareFlight nurses, medics may unionize under Ohio Nurses Association" If these super-smart, hyper-competent people have decided to do this, I fully support them! daytondailynews.com/business/caref…

Journalists, like nurses, are continually pressed to "do more with less" in roles essential to the health of our communities! TY @daytondailynews for your reporting. #supportlocaljournalism

I can't be more proud of our team at the @daytondailynews and the investigative reporting we produced this year. This is why local journalism matters. Here are 11 awesome examples of how reporting by our staff impacted Ohioans' lives. daytondailynews.com/local/11-dayto…

Many school districts will start this school year with at least a handful of openings for teachers and support staff, even in districts where hiring has not traditionally been a problem. daytondailynews.com/local/teachers…

What a surprising relief that the "Right to Life" movement that that's driving the August special election in Ohio is finally claiming responsibility.

At Churches in all 88 counties this Sunday morning (including mine)…. Ohio’s faith based community unites to Vote Yes on Issue 1 to protect Life. ❤️ @ohiolife @ohiogop @CCVPolicy @OhioSenateGOP @OHRSCC @MikeDeWine @OhioTreasurer @KeithFaber @FrankLaRose
