Epistemic injustice- the injustice of knowledge, language and status, when patients voices are not heard or included. We must reverse this & have partnership between patients and healthcare. Our Principles of Better Patient Safety will set this out @PatientsAssoc @CQCProf

I’ve been impressed by some of the ‘epistemic injustice’ (surely there is a better description- feels very academic) work that @PSCommissioner and @rachelpower222 have drawn my attention to. Feels relevant and important though again we need to simplify the language.

It's the final week for our fabulous cohorts 7&8 of compassionate communication skills. This week our focus is support for staff hearing about #civilitysaveslives & importance of team debriefs for patient safety @nes_qi @GraemeHay88
