Pick your battles.

Interesting to watch Twitter migration in real time. I had accounts at other socials, just bc you never know what might catch on (I was an early adopter of Twitter and now-defunct sites) and Bluesky just blew up. I'll continue to cross-post, but where the action is has shifted.

Spoiler alert: It's not.

New biopic of Ted Turner looks interesting. buff.ly/4flRV33

This Ted Turner biopic on HBO Max is one long love letter to Turner from his friends and family. I'll try to make it to the end, but this isn't a documentary, it's propaganda .

Remember on the X-Files when they'd uncover some international conspiracy about aliens controlling the world. Then the next week, Mulder and Scully were investigating a house where it rains inside, and you're like, "What about the aliens?!" Well, that's what this feels like.

FYI, with lots of people dispersing across social media platforms, I've started cross-posting using Buffer. It's made doing so very easy. buffer.com

It fascinates me how much publicity sports gets. The Bears have been floating terrible ideas for new public stadiums for years. They're all covered on the front pages of Chicago's many news outlets. This shouldn't be major news, but it is.

“We were prepared for an increase, absolutely, we knew they were going to triple or whatever. But when he said you’re going from $750 a seat to $10,000 a seat, that was just nuts. And there’s no concession for legacy customers or long-time PSL holders.” thecentersquare.com/tennessee/arti…

It's going to be real interesting to see how this shakes out. Decent chance the current deal gets sunk. Curious if this ends up as a more extravagant Tropicana refurbishment. buff.ly/3Arf992
