I really want us to move away from the idea that hyper visibility = success. We tend to conflate “being seen a lot” with “being good” or of quality and that's not always the case.

A man of great strength and grace. As talented a musician as he was an actor. The epitome of class. An sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP

For months I have wondered what the recall campaign in New Orleans was really about. It’s aim is to recall an ineffective Mayor. That I understand. I assumed after a recall, the politician most likely to benefit from the removal would be revealed. Then the real motive came out…

HB 2390 undermines the work being done by student leaders across the state to engage young people in our democratic process. We should be working to make voting more accessible, not less.

I’m getting word from several people that the Tyre Nichols video is bad. Like… worse than we’ve seen in a long time, and that’s saying something. A reminder that you can turn off video Auto-Play in your Settings. You don’t owe anyone anything. You don’t have to watch.

I retired my work laugh years ago because I’ve grown and healed as a person. But it was truly an incredible performance. Even when my scene partner wasn’t giving me much to work with, I still turned it.

The LAPD murdered Keenan Anderson. A beloved high school English teacher and father who FLAGGED THEM DOWN FOR HELP after a car accident. He was a threat to no one. He needed help and it cost him his life. The LAPD must be held accountable for this at all costs. #KeenanAnderson

Harris County will eliminate 500+ vacant jobs, delay some flood control projects and cancel raises and cost of living adjustments for county law enforcement following the default to a lower tax rate forced by the GOP boycott. houstonchronicle.com/politics/houst…

This new move makes it quite clear that the Commissioners’ “outrage” is/ has been a political stunt used to give their candidate slate a little razzle dazzle heading into November. All at the expense of Harris Country residents. Solid public service, y'all. Solid.

Harris County's two Republican commissioners now say they will not attend today's special discussion-only meeting on the property tax rate houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-t… via @houstonchron #hounews

Public servants should always fight to keep their positions; that the requirement of effort is upsetting to him speaks volumes.
