Famotidine needs randomized clinical trials to provide more evidence of its benefit in long COVID. I do suspect it is helpful for many though (I’ve heard multiple stories about its benefits, and about return of cough and other symptoms if doses are missed).

Consider enrolling in an outpatient #COVID19 treatment trial. NIH ACTIV6 trial is a nationwide trial. Participate from home. They will send you meds to your home. The activ6 trial tests existing, safe meds that are approved for other conditions. Info at activ6study.org
Some of the possible mechanisms are shared with other SSRIs, but I think the anti-inflammatory action through activation of the Sigma1 Receptor (S1R) is most important, and fluvoxamine has especially high affinity for this receptor. frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…
