Hello world! Follow for tweets from the IAS group at @TUDarmstadt, researching the intersection of #robotics and #machinelearning!
EQR has been accepted at JMLR! Now available at jmlr.org/papers/v25/23-… Thanks again to all my co-authors, anonymous reviewers and the editor @marcgbellemare The paper improved significantly as part of the review process.
Excited to release an update of the EQR paper + code! 🎉 Have a look for a theoretically-grounded way of estimating epistemic uncertainty around value functions using distributional RL tools. 📜 arxiv.org/abs/2308.06590 💻 github.com/boschresearch/…
New insights into exploration in MCTS! Our JAIR paper proposes an entropy-regularized exploration policy that balances efficient tree traversal with rapid convergence. Our unified α-divergence formulation enables tailoring exploration-exploitation tradeoffs to specific problems.
If you are at #CoRL2024 @corl_conf and work on locomotion or bioinspiration, please come to our workshop "LocoLearn" in Room Mars, 2nd floor, from 9:00. (Unfortunately I was not able to join this time, but my colleagues @davide_tateo and @piotr_kicki will!)
Perfect start to the #CoRL2024 week! Was a pleasure organizing the NextGen Robot Learning Symposium at @TUDarmstadt with @firasalhafez @GeorgiaChal Thanks to the speakers for the great talks! @YunzhuLiYZ @NimaFazeli7 @Dian_Wang_ @HaojieHuang13 @Vikashplus @ehsanik @Oliver_Kroemer
Plenary speaker Jan Peters (Intelligent Autonomous Systems, TU Darmstadt, Germany) will give a talk titled "Inductive Biases for Learning of Anthropomorphic Robots"! More info on the website: 2024.ieee-humanoids.org/plenaries/
