My client (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences) just Open Sourced a chatbot PoC I have been putting together in between meetings :) It uses Retreival-Augmented Generation, Redis for semantic search and OpenAI API:s and LLMs. github.com/SLU-IT-arkitek… #OpenSource #AppliedAI

The point is frameworks Astro/Next.js/SvelteKit/SolidStart/Nuxt all have the ability to generate HTML and cache it on a CDN and lazy load interactive features. Once you get there it will be fast. You could do this with PHP/Go/Ruby/etc forever, but the industry goes in circles.

I've never kept it a secret that I'm not a fan of TDD. I believe in prototype driven development (PDD) with a focus on data driven design (DDD) I believe the general engineering cycle should be prototype, solidify, refactor, test, minimize, reduce, and simplify in that order.

Would you hire a "programmer" who had taken a 2-day class in "programming," passed a multiple-choice test, but had never actually written a computer program? Why would you hire a similarly qualified Scrum Master.

Now with a decent readme. and some other improvements 🙂 #go #golang #vanillajs #k8s #Kubernetes #opensource

Not thrilled by the idea of this new syntax in #golang. I rather avoid adding a second way to do anything in the language. It just creates issues and inconsistencies. Variable declarations and (any vs interface{}) are examples. Let's not add more! github.com/golang/go/issu…

Unpopular opinion - striving for too much flexibility and clean architectures in code, more often than not leads to an overly complex codebase that rarely takes advantage of the supposed benefits.

A periodic reminder that, if you can get a certificate in it, it’s not agile. Certificates are all about learning a rigid set of rules & then proving that you’ve learned those rules in a test. You can’t be rigid and agile at the same time, however. Agile is not about rules.

you can't have runtime errors if your code doesn't compile
