I saw quite a bit of confusion as to why a Commanding Officer in the Defence Forces is cross-examined after a guilty plea in a civil court. Not surprising so much confusion because most lawyers and judges couldn't tell you why, either. CW: sexual assault, misogyny. /1

Delighted for @ciaranahern A great cadidate and supporter of @ColaisteEanna

The two Labour candidates in Templeogue-Rathfarnham - Pamela Kearns and Ciaran Ahern - have 29% of the vote between them, and that’s before some of Ahern’s heartland reports in. Likely to take 2 seats out of 7 there

Finally telling a friend you’re a politician 😂 I’ve had many serious conversations during this local election campaign…this wasn’t one of them!! 😂 #le24 #rathfarnham #templeogue

Honoured to play a small role in this wonderful school's development. Such an affirming report for the amazing work that goes on by such a dedicated staff cohort. Well done Paula, Aisling and team. 👏

We are delighted to share our Whole School Evaluation Report which can be read online sandymountparketss.ie/wp-content/upl… We are extremely proud that we have been awarded the highest evaluation of excellent across a range of categories under the Inspectorate’s new Quality Continuum.

Today some of our 1st years created a colourful symbol representing Autism Awareness in @ColaisteEanna They replicated badges they received after completing Autism research which they presented in their work. Great work ethic & respect were seen. #AutismAwareness

If this is true, it raises bigger concerns that school leaders have either a) failed to identity more pressing issues in their schools or more worryingly b) they are unwilling or not facilitated to express these when the Minister visits schools. Or maybe, it's just not true!

“One of the top three items raised with me every time when I visit schools is the question of smartphones and children.” My speech to the education panel at the Fianna Fáil Ard Fheis is available here. fiannafail.ie/news/speech-by…

This has been a very enjoyable experience for me & has made me a better school leader both theoretically & practically. Engaging with future school leaders while dicussing issues of concern and sharing best practice has been enlightening. Would encourage others to engage.

Are you an experienced school leader with a masters in school leadership/educational management? We are actively hiring PDSL tutors and would love to hear from you! If interested please email us at PDSL@ul.ie #Leadership #AspiringLeaders #LeadershipAcademy

Vaping is not a benign habit. Parents need to wake up to their children’s vaping - these companies are targeting our children and they are inhaling thousands of unknown chemicals. #vaping #health@HSELiveirishexaminer.com/lifestyle/heal…

Listening to the Clonmel principals on the radio, they really deserve to be commended on how they have leapt into action. Ready for the media, ready to support the students, ready for going back to school for everyone else tomorrow... I hope there is someone minding them too.
