Super excited to see this work out! Another great team effort between @JswLab and @voorheeslab spearheaded by @GayathriArunaM

Excited to share my first paper from grad school out today in @MolecularCell! We systematically define biogenesis pathways for alpha-helical OMM proteins triaged by the NAC and TTC1 chaperone complexes for polytopic and signal-anchored proteins (1/2). cell.com/molecular-cell…

Excited to share that our OPA1 paper is finally out in @Nature!! We discovered how multifunctional OPA1 machinery regulates mitochondrial morphology and how it is corrupted by disease. #mitochondria #CryoEM #opticatrophy #membrane #cellulardynamics nature.com/articles/s4158…

Thrilled to be awarded a K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award @NIGMS Not possible without the incredible support of @voorheeslab @JswLab and my mentors from the @MRC_LMB Great news to hear immediately after delivering my first baby :)

I am happy to propose a model for mammalian #mitochondria UPR signaling, published @Nature nature.com/articles/s4158… Mito protein misfolding induces two cytosolic signals –mtROS and mito protein precursor accumulation. These activate the mito UPR via a DNAJA1-HSF1 signaling axis.
