Today, Kate Gallego, was sworn in as the new Mayor of Phoenix. Gov. Stephen Roe Lewis, was given the honor of providing the closing remarks at today’s ceremony. He talked about Gallegos’s interest in learning more about the Community, which shares its boundaries with.

Today, the Gila River Indian Community was joined by Arizona Gov. @dougducey and state and congressional representatives for the opening of the MAR 5 Interpretive Trail at the MAR 5 Site, District 3.

Gov. Lewis spoke on a panel at the Bright Arizona event, hosted at the Phoenix Art Museum on Feb. 28. The event, discussed important issues on education, the economy and resources vital to the future of Arizona.
