Acknowledging defeat and congratulating the victor is a key step in preserving democracy. Dean's recent "concession" message does none of that, at times veering toward denialism and perpetuating the adversarial climate of his tenure. He should never be near public office again

Repeat drug dealing offenders who are also illegal migrants should be sent back to their country. This is a pretty boilerplate position that anyone with a brain will support. Democrats should make it part of their platform and move on to more important matters.

How is deporting undocumented organized drug dealers who make up 90% of all street level drug dealing in San Francisco "scapegoating?" I'd really like a definitive, truthful, logical answer to that question. Because I can't think of one.

To run a recall campaign you need 1 critical feature: trust from voters that you'll get the job done. Trust that a candidate who was at the most able to get 2.8% of mayoral votes in 2018 certainly DOES NOT have.

Dean Preston isn't exiting without a grand finale of nonsense. Like turning the Western Addition into a food desert to finally build the housing he stalled for years, or advocating for Zurich's drug policies, despite previously opposing zero-tolerance measures. A fitting exit

San Francisco Supervisor Dean Preston is urging Mayor London Breed to use eminent domain to seize the Safeway property in the city’s Western Addition and turn it into affordable housing. trib.al/fRTxNu8

Stephen MP speaking common sense.

I don't think Recalling Joel Engardio is a good idea. I'm not certain which kind of mayor Daniel Lurie will be - if Joel is ejected, there is a risk of a more progressive appointment that will have incumbency advantage. Best to run a candidate in 2026 that is a moderate No on K.

It’s official — the race has been called in our favor, and I am honored to be elected the next District 5 Supervisor of San Francisco. When I launched this campaign in January, I did so because of a profound belief that despite the division and challenges our district faces,…

Many people on this platform owe @bilalmahmood some recognition. Without his inclusive campaigning, we would still have Dean and a majority regressive BoS. One has to look at D1 to see what happens in SF when moderate candidates can't build a broad coalition, the way Bilal did.

Sad about the state of our nation. But happy, for San Francisco is set to return to sanity. My job is done here. I have no reason to exist. At least for a while Thanks to all the friends I have met here. DM if you want to catch up in real life. A bientot!

BREAKING NEWS: Legendary actor Harrison Ford has OFFICIALLY endorsed Kamala Harris in an awesome video: “I’ve been voting for 64 years. Never really wanted to talk about it very much but when dozens of former members of the Trump administration are sounding alarms saying…

Donald Trump remembering the late Arnold Palmer

When I said Trump was going down, this isn’t what I meant.

The Aaron Peskin paradox: 📜 Preaches against free markets 🏠 Quietly amasses real estate 💰 Gets rich by strangling supply near his properties Socialist in streets, capitalist in sheets. Peskin belongs on Wall Street, not on your ballot. He only has his own interest at heart.

It has felt really incredible today, from Glenn Park to Noe Valley, Chinatown to Hayes Valley, the Excelsior to Inner Sunset. I’m looking forward to seeing you all out in your neck of the woods this weekend - let’s get out the vote in a final push for SF! kqed.org/news/12012016/…

Trump supporters going incredible lengths to justify their leader’s outrageous statements. This is how dictatorships set in. People become radicalized and accept anything under the sun, without scrutiny.

This fear that Harris will drag the US into a war is one of many reasons to vote Trump making 0 sense. First, Biden and Harris pulled out of Afghanistan. Trump didn’t. That should say something. Second, who do you trust to keep their composure during an international crisis?

If you are a voter single-mindedly focused on the economy, Trump is bad. Why? Because when dictators seize power, free markets die. Look at Venezuela, Russia, Nicaragua. First comes autocracy, then comes economic collapse. Every. Single. Time. Wake up, America. 🚨

Donald Trump is calling for the execution of Liz Cheney. If this isn’t completely disqualifying I don’t know what is.

The economy is fine and inflation is back within the 2-3% target range. We’re good! Now @elonmusk comes around and says: “brace yourself for temporary pain”… the question is “why?” Why do we need pain. Again, we’re good!

JUST IN: PCE inflation declined to 2.1% (y/y) in September — That’s the lowest since early 2021 and basically at the Fed’s 2% target. “Core PCE” (which excludes food and energy) remains at 2.7% for the past year. There was hope that would tick down as well, but it didn’t in…

Trump transition co-chair going full anti-vaxx. This is so bad. Really a litmus test issue, once you’re anti-vaxx it’s a clear sign there is no sanity anywhere in sight.
