Smartphones are an incredible invention. They put a world of information at our fingertips, facilitate communication faster than ever before, and act as a safety net in a variety of stations.

This has made me properly furious. So much work has been done to try to remove barriers and then this. It’s so stunningly ignorant. Imagine if society had said in the 50’s, “it just seems that girls don’t want to study hard medicine. It’s not a natural choice for them”

here is the clip - first it's cos girls don't like the maths, which is then "a natural thing" and then she's totally fine with physics a-level only being 16% girls.

Over the past year I've attended 20+ school leader events & asked 1000s of you to discuss 3 questions • When did you realise the pandemic was going to be BAD? • What was your worst professional moment during it? • What was your best moment? Here's what I've learned:🧵

I'm often asked by participants on my coaching courses which books to read to enhance their practice. This visual by Toby Sinclair is great. I like how he has different categories. Under culture I'd add @mckiNicholas book All Ways Coaching. What category/book would you add?

Access to early years education in England is unequal and unfair. The poorest children are locked out of vital opportunities. You can help change this. Join our campaign by writing to your MP: suttontrust.com/fairstart/ #AFairStart

So there you have it. We’re now ProActive PE and looking forward to continuing to support families and now schools with free resources and new and exciting projects in the year ahead 🤩

Make no mistake, the teacher training review is another attempt by a right wing government to tell teachers how to teach & what to teach. The schools' minister driving this dangerous ideology is an accountant simply obsessed by Hirsch & unwilling to engage those with expertise
