A 'Wave off' or just a HUGE bounce! This Grumman Bearcat of the US Navy is certainly performing to the packed 'Goofer's Gallery' of the USS Tarawa (CV-40), assembled on the island decks. He's going to miss the barrier, but what happened next is not known. Anybody out there know?

Giving it that old 'Razzle-Dazzle' 🤩 These US Navy F2F-1 fighter aircraft were in service between 1936 and 1940, this particular formation manoeuvre was part of the flying display by the VF-2B 'Fighting Chiefs' and was called the 'Razzle-Dazzle'!
The 1958 World Exhibition in Brussels, Belgium was a good excuse for Belgian state airline Sabena to show off the future use of the helicopter in commercial aviation. They leased this Boeing-Vertol V-44 to demonstrate its use, it is seen here with a (less modern) Vickers Viking!
One for the spotter's notebooks in the 1960's! A rare visitor to London Heathrow, a Fairchild C-82 'Packet' belonging to TWA. This C-82 was used to ferry spare parts (mainly engines!) around the airline's routes. An Airspeed Ambassador can be seen behind.
The chemtrails on this beautiful B36 are no longer described as black, but of a more nuanced hue.
