I love the way the world turns monochrome when it is snowing.

Sigh. I'm still waiting for snow. On the other hand, it's sunny!

Beautiful day in Firwoodland! Breezy and sunny.

The winter solstice! Which means that the days will be getting longer and the nights shorter. Yippee!!

A lovely frosty start to the day, sunshine all the way.

A nip and a punch for a bright and breezy start to July!

Glorious morning!

On this amp and misty morning, a few photographs from Ton, a regular guest from the Netherlands. These were taken in our garden and in the Harthope Valley about 10 days ago.

It's always sad when the Mad June Lot leave. The house goes quiet and seems to sigh. Buzz Collie is already wondering who is going to entertain him and take him for group walks. Till next year.

Today and for the next few days, it's woodland management at Firwood. There is a very agile and very capable arboriculturalist climbing trees, taking down dead and broken limbs, thinning out ivy... facebook.com/story.php?stor…

Sunday 5th January 2019 and a perfect morning for a walk. Buzz and I above the Harthope Valley. The Muskovy ducks and geese thought so too.

I was hoping for some seasonal snow to photograph to go with our seasonal message. However, as it's a rather mild and green day, you will have to make do with Christmas decorations instead! The message hasn't... facebook.com/59534913140/po…

A nip and a punch! Good gracious, it's December, where on earth did the year go?? One moment it was the height of summer, then a brief, glorious autumn and now - I'm waiting for snow!
