I loved fireworks as a child but their impact on pets and wildlife is devastating.
I don't want to be a killjoy, but isn't it about time we banned fireworks? I've seen that horrific video of 1000s of panicking Starlings in Rome, flying into windows & dying of shock thanks to the New Year fireworks, & I wonder how many birds die in shock worldwide.... 😔

This is insane. It is apple season in the UK. We have a perfect climate for growing apples. Yet we import 70% of the apples we eat, often from the other side of the world. Our food system in broken.
This just seems wrong on so many levels. Six apples from New Zealand for sale for £2.40 at Tesco in London. Why can’t we grow and eat our own apples ? @Tesco @tesconews @DaveGoulson
