Stetson Bennett, thank you. We're forever grateful. The greatest ever.

A5: I would be a stressed teacher without my sounding board @AElizabethGray who keeps my head above water and always encouraged. #ccboeintech

A4: I had a kid randomly tell me today that I reminded him of Ms. Frizzle and the whole class agreed because “I’ve never seen her frown and that class is actually fun.” This was moments after I dropped a writing assignment on them, so I’ll take it. #ccboeintech

A3: I have been trying really hard to not work too late and take no work home on the weekends. This is the first year I have ever even been remotely successful with this goal. #ccboeintech

A2: 7th graders have so many facts they are dying to share. A few times a week, I give them a few minutes to share something random. I learn so much about them, and it’s usually hilarious. #ccboeintech

A1: I can teach in person kids and help my LFH kids at the same time without my head exploding...most days. #ccboeintech

Instant goosebumps.

There’s nothing quite like a Saturday in Augusta.

Promised myself I wasn’t going to work this weekend, BUT watching and learning from @KyleneBeers 100% doesn’t count.

One of my students shared that she loves to read and is a writer, but she gets so angry when she reads a great book...because she wasn’t the one who came up with the idea. Be still my heart. I’m telling you, middle schoolers have such clarity...sometimes.

After sleeping 14 hours after the first week of school, George and I read an absolutely phenomenal book that I can’t wait to get into the hands of my kids. Thanks @JerryCraft for the most perfect Saturday morning!

Back to school “Covid edition” had me worried about how I could engage all of my students and give them opportunities to interact and build relationships while keeping a safe distance. @nearpod did the job so incredibly! I think I liked it better than my “normal” plans!

Things I wish I had believed as a new teacher (because I was told them but didn’t listen): DO NOT KEEP extra copies of worksheets. You won’t use them again after year 1 and you won’t remember that you saved them. I’m 3 trash bags deep...And counting.

A5: Next year, I'll be at a new school and new grade level, so the uncertainty definitely feels compounded, but I'm trying to keep my mindset postive--one day at a time. We truly are all in this together and have the same goal--serving students, so it will work out! #ccboeintech

A4: I try to make postive parent phone calls often and early in the year, but I can't lie, I really, really hate calling people. LFH made me definitely more intentional with my communication. I wanted to be both supportive and informative. #ccboeintech

A3: For the sake of familiarity for my students, I kept my tasks pretty similar to what they would see in class...BUT I want to be more creative and encourage students to explore more in their learning. The goal with LFH was to get it done, now I want them to explore. #ccboeintech

A2: Learn from Home made us really look at what we teach and decide what is THE most imperative and focus on the core and basis of what students need to know. We were challenged to be innovative as a unit. I hope that spirit remains. #ccboeintech

A1: That's a million dollar question! In my dream world, it's relatively back to normal, but that may be just a dream. I think we may be looking at some flexible schedules with LFH always looming as an option. #ccboeintech

I’m Erin Kwon. I’ve been teaching 8th Grade ELA at Grovetown Middle for 5 years...and man, they went by quickly! #ccboeintech

A5: Less can be more! I've always known how I present something to students matters, but LFH has taught me to REALLY view my Slides/materials from a student's POV. Also, editable Bitmojis give good directions!! Teacher clarity in a task is so crucial. #ccboeintech

A4: Students can have true choice in how they show their learning! I have noticed that my kids are choosing to play it "safe" even though I keep attempting to push them out. They choose the CommonLit over a creative option like Tik Tok, but they still have choice. #ccboeintech
