As an LP I don’t understand what “promote” is. I’m hoping @moseskagan or @Keith_Wasserman can point me to a thread explaining promote when it comes to real estate GPs. I understand 2 & 20, just not sure how the promote works.
This week I bought a 2012 Express Cargo Van with 18,000 miles. I paid 38k. I have three brand new vans on order from GM for 28k each. When you spend 10k more for a used vehicle than a brand new one you know the supply chain and the world is in a weird spot.
Ordered 37 work trucks from GM. Got the call this week that my new allocation is going to be 4. They said 2023 is going to be even worse.
