For the avoidance of doubt here is how I outlined my beliefs in court - which are now held to be "protected" beliefs which are "worthy of respect in a democratic society". They are thus not - as the University of Bristol shockingly tried to maintain - "akin to Nazism". My…
I'd like one more time to recommend the new documentary "Investigating War Crimes in Gaza." Even if you love Israel, go watch what you're supporting. Much is based on IDF's own videos, including their bizarre obsession with psycho-sexual humiliations and using lingerie.
"This is not a humanitarian crisis, Kate, and I'm going to say it very clearly for your viewers to hear: This is genocide [...] Media agencies will have reckon with their major role in the genocide." -- Dr. Tanya Haj-Hassan to CNN
The Democratic Party co-signed the death of democracy when they sabotaged Bernie’s run in 2016, and argued before a court of law that party leadership—not members—have a right to select a candidate, and WON. You can’t run a party like that and convince us voting is the answer.
It’s crazy watching American college students put their knowledge from active school shooter drills to use to barricade themselves from the police.

"I have never experienced anything like I experienced in Gaza..." This doctor spent two weeks over Christmas working in the European Hospital in Khan Younis with the charity IDEALS, helping treat people with severely traumatic wounds. This is what Andy Ferguson saw.
Professor Jeffrey Sachs explaining that @potus & @SecBlinken are not genuinely advising restraint by Israel. They are following legal advice to create a pretence that they are not complicit in war crimes
My message from Gaza today:
Does Israel have a "right of self-defence" under international law? No. As UN Special Rapporteur @FranceskAlbs explains: "Israel cannot claim the right of self-defence against a threat that emanates from the territory that it occupies, that is kept under belligerent occupation."
War crimes by both Hamas and Israel must be condemned for what they are: disgusting outrages against humanity. But refusals to contextualise either fit into a LONG history of justifying racist, supremacist colonial subjugation. Let's look at some examples, particularly Ireland.

Too ridiculous to be taken seriously, too serious to be written off with ridicule. A bad combination for a ruling party theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
A year ago, I started following how the cost of living crisis was playing out at an Oldham school, checking in with the fantastic @NewmanRC_Head every few weeks. I ended up learning a lot about the British state, and its education system, to boot. on.ft.com/3KYWPWv
I live near this guy’s constituency & ppl are simply bananas about him. 40 yrs of tireless attention to constituents’ needs, wants, worries, fears. Just a good guy, on the scene, doing the work, getting the results & earning the love.
Today marks 40 years since the people of Islington North first elected me as their MP. I want to take this opportunity to thank some of the amazing people, groups and campaigns that have changed our community for the better.

Why are there still paramilitaries 25 years since Northern Ireland's Troubles ended? Many answers and so many people doing great work to help move society on. Here's my latest story. Northern Ireland: the paramilitaries that ‘never go away’ ft.com/content/7e83e4…
