I'm excited to share a @desmos collection that @SimonSaysMath and I have been working on for a few months: a set of 5 self-paced lessons that teach students how to create animations in Desmos. #MTBoS #iteachmath @von_Oy teacher.desmos.com/collection/624…

Here's a @desmosclassroom template for graphing transformations of parent functions. #Desmos #MTBoS #ITeachMath teacher.desmos.com/activitybuilde…

I’m excited to be joining this year’s @desmos Classroom Fellows cohort! Looking forward to meeting everyone in Denver. #MTBoS #iteachmath @desmosclassroom

Here's a @desmosclassroom version of the old Green Globs game, to practice function transformations. #MTBoS #ITeachMath teacher.desmos.com/activitybuilde…

Check out this @Desmos activity: Laser Parabolas! (Understanding factored form quadratics) @desmosclassroom #mtbos #iteachmath teacher.desmos.com/activitybuilde…

Domain and range templates for @desmosclassroom Any feedback for improvement appreciated. #MTBoS #iteachmath teacher.desmos.com/activitybuilde…

Bought the @OrigamiYoda box set at Costco on a whim. It’s turned out to be a huge hit. My kids (7 and 8) absolutely *love* it.

Now I know why my parents never wanted to play Trouble with me when I was a kid.

My 7 yo is a born engineer. He just watched Star Wars for the first time and his biggest question was why they would leave such a big hole in the Death Star where anyone could just shoot something in to blow it up.

Here's a @desmosclassroom/@Desmos version of the Pathways game by Marilyn Burns. Checking for a valid path was a bigger challenge than I expected! I'm proud of this one, but afraid it might have some bugs (please let me know if you find any.) #MTBoS teacher.desmos.com/activitybuilde…

I just turned in my final research project for my masters in math ed at @sfsu Did the courses at night, with my wife handling our 3 young kids on her own, was interrupted by Covid and its aftermath, and now I’m finally done! I was lucky to have Judy Kysh as my advisor.

Was lucky to be able to attend Building Thinking Classrooms PD with @pgliljedahl today. I left with some good ideas to try, re-energized, excited to start planning for next fall.

Here's my @desmos #matchMyCl for May: representing function composition with stacked machines. #desmosclassroom teacher.desmos.com/activitybuilde…

Hey @desmos, look what I found on my board today. 😆#mtbos

It feels like I am becoming a computer science student/teacher in real time (jkjk). Thank you @desmosclassroom, @SimonSaysMath, and @dwekselgreene for your beautiful Animation Project modules for students! @CodeRVA1 #mtbos #iteachmath (kind of)

Just overheard my 6 yo talking to my 4 yo: “if something happened but no one remembers it happened, did it happen?” “Hmm.. I don’t know. I think yes?” “Ding ding ding that’s correct!”

New @desmos @desmosclassroom activity to teach graphing of factored form quadratics by visualizing the product of linear functions. Will use next week, so I'd appreciate any feedback! #mtbos #iteachmath teacher.desmos.com/activitybuilde…
