Thoughts on the #Dronestrike in #Kabul that killed an #Afghan family. For background I was the Chief of High Value Targeting on the Joint Staff 2002-03, led UN war crimes investigations in #Afghanistan in 2011, and in 2015 assisted in a study of airstrikes while deployed on the

Yes - one immediate goal comes to mind; Try to at least make on the 25% short fall the UNIFEC/COVAX project change in expectation announced last week against the July 2021 projections.

Facing criticism for its plan to give Americans third doses of COVID-19 vaccines while millions in the world's poorest countries are still waiting for a first shot, the White House plans a virtual summit next week to try to boost global vaccine efforts. n.pr/3zkQVGA

As an American, I have a very high tolerance for hypocrisy. (Anything else would itself be hypocritical.) But man, watching France — France! — work itself up in moral outrage over an **arms deal** while, even better, invoking the sanctity of alliances is … well really something.

France accused U.S. President Joe Biden of stabbing it in the back and acting like his predecessor Donald Trump after Paris was pushed aside from one of the world's most lucrative defense deals that it had signed with Australia for submarines reut.rs/2YSO6A2

Never forget the ugliness of war. Equivalent or worse horrors were inflicted on the people of Afghanistan thousands of times over during 20 years of conflict. Some of the worst death and destruction occurred in 2018 and 2019 with almost no media coverage.

Yes. Reaction to heinous crimes can produce the worst of laws; I've heard it said! Not to say we forget the crimes of 9/11, but that we ensure not to dwell on them. To let time move on for the living, leaving the criminals to the dust of history and their victims peace.

Terrorism is the memetic equivalent of an immune disease. The atrocity is not the goal; it uses our reactions to atrocity to spread its intended effect of destroying the society it hates. Watch out today for endless replays doing its evil work all over again. #911Anniversary

Maryland is expansive, or less restrictive, among U.S. States with regard to hunting. Pretty much if it's in the wild you can hunt it. Strictly, regulated for how, when and where. If you're a Zebra, in MD, reading this, you should know. Be sure to ✔️ the DNR website often.

Let's not forget that POTUS, as Rep and then Sen Biden, spent a lifetime helping write the U.S. tax code which created one special rule after another enabling them to do just that!

$163 billion — that’s how much the top one percent evades in taxes they owe each year. It’s unacceptable. We’re going to change that with my Build Back Better Agenda, and use that money to invest in the middle class.
