#12thFailMovie was realistic enough to really pinch and idealistic enough to strike a chord. The genuine simplicity of the main character was what stole the show for me! I was so invested in his journey that I forgot about everything else. Definitely a standout!
It's easy to understand that this would be Gen Z's position, though. They've watched LGBTQ+ friends rights stripped away, children bombed in various wars their whole lives, student loan debt, a supreme court taking away rights... Nobody is happy with small victories anymore.
If Millennials' original political sin was to put too much faith in Obama's ability to fix capitalism, Gen Z's seems to be that it doesn't believe in anyone's ability to fix anything (or, indeed, that many things are, relatively speaking, going pretty well)
