Nada bueno sale de una campaña electoral. Las elecciones son la causa de todos los males de una democracia. El sorteo de los cargos públicos es una mejor opción.
To me the most concerning issue is a lot of what was considered misinformation was and is true: vaccines don't halt transmission the virus came from a lab cloth masks don't work closing schools is a bad idea toddlers shouldn't masks natural immunity exists
At the debate, Tim Walz said hate speech and misinformation were not protected by the First Amendment. He's wrong. reason.com/2024/10/03/tim…
The harm the government can do from imposing policies based on its willful misinformation is orders of magnitude worse than the harm from misinformation that sometimes spreads online. Free speech protects everyone against both.
Petro yerra en sus conceptos de “democracia”, “pueblo” y “poder constituyente". Lo expongo en esta columna en El País y en este hilo🧵 elpais.com/america-colomb…
Yes @DrTedros, the lockdowns disrupted societies, economies and health. But, @WHO's #PandemicAccord would have forced lockdowns on Sweden as part of the "international consensus". Instead, Sweden ended up with the lowest 2020-22 excess death rate in Europe.
I've said this many times: #COVID19 was a vivid demonstration that when health is at risk, everything is at risk. The impacts of the pandemic went far beyond the death and disease caused by the virus itself, disrupting societies, economies, and health systems, as you know. The…
The people who were labeled 'anti-maskers' and 'anti-vaxxers' throughout the entire 'pandemic' were simply people who believed (and still believe) that wearing masks and taking injections should be an INDIVIDUAL CHOICE in a free society. It's always been a coherent and…
In 2022, @MartinKulldorff and I warned that public health's embrace of covid vax mandates, political partisanship, and the "noble" lie would increase public skepticism about other vaccines, including essential ones. Alas, this prophecy has come true. 1/2 theepochtimes.com/opinion/how-va…
Just wondering. Did the fact checkers ever correct Tony Fauci, Rochelle Walensky, or Rachel Maddow for saying that the covid vax prevents you from getting and spreading covid? If not, why not? It was one of the biggest lies of the covid era.
If you are in public health & you supported the lockdowns that devastated the well being of children, the poor & the working class, you have no moral authority to denigrate people and organizations that opposed them. Repent. Then maybe people with start to trust your again.
Anyone in public health who hawked toddler masking despite the utter dearth of good evidence that it would do a spot of good should repent & seek forgiveness. Though now that Tony Fauci is no longer the high pope of The Science (tm), I'm not sure who will take their confession.
Anyone who supported masking toddlers in the name of “science” EITHER 1. Thought child abuse was a small price to pay for the virtue signal. OR 2. Never met a toddler.
The longer it takes for scientists to publicly recognize that a handful of their peers created COVID-19 and then lied about it, and the longer that scientists actively oppose measures to prevent this from happening again, the worse the consequences will be.
Unfortunately this is correct. Two or three dozen corrupt scientists, most in one narrow subfield of science, have damaged, possibly irreparably, public trust in the many tens of thousands of scientists across all fields of science.
Effective pandemic preparedness. Step 1: Fire all the people currently responsible for pandemic preparedness. They likely caused the pandemic, locked you down, kept your kids out of school, demolished economies, and want more power to do it again.
Masking 2 year olds... School closure... Vaccine mandates for college kids... Lockdowns... were all illogical and horrific public health and they are glad I spoke up Many agreed but the climate was too hostile for them to speak up
It's a farce when @Harvard claims to support academic freedom when they fired people who opposed lockdowns and correctly believe in infection-acquired immunity. If serious: - End Covid vaccine mandates - Rehire fired faculty/employees - Host scientific debates on Covid response
Academic freedom dies with bullying and harassment. Scientific debate can be fierce and bold, but must always be polite and honest, without lies, slander or personal attacks.
He had already had covid. FDA should have made Pfizer and Moderns run a separate RCT in people with prior infection powered for severe disease. It would likely be null. So he did not need the vaccine. It's shocking how few doctors could be honest about this topic.
“I was basically declared as a villain of the world,” Djokovic says after a political firestorm about his unwillingness to get a COVID vaccination led to his deportation during last year’s Australian Open.
"Forcing people to wear masks has been a failure of public health ... Authorities relied on trash studies to justify their use, and wanted to appear as if they were doing something." - Dr. @PGtzsche1 Story by @MaryanneDemasi blog.maryannedemasi.com/p/did-cochrane…
Toddler masking is pseudo science
