well at least I beat Jokerless on Balatro today

I have been really delighted by the degree of empathy for non-build engineers I've heard in all of the talks and in my conversations at #BazelCon. Areas of misuse or misunderstanding are framed as our (the Bazel community) responsibility to improve rather than blaming users.

Typical thinLTO build I think #BazelCon

vacuumed up eight canisters of dog hair. they're lucky I love them unconditionally and would do anything for them.

Everyone on here will hate this, me included, but it’s become clear to me this is the answer to public acceptance of nuclear power plants:

I really think nuclear power would be more popular if the cooling towers didn’t look so grim. Try painting them bright happy colors, even rainbow.

Secret Service should have a bug bounty where if you hit someone under their protection with a paintball gun you get $10k

have to piggyback off this brilliant tweet again to say that what's often gets overlooked is good conversation skills has very little to do with how great you can prove you are and more to do with how sincerely curious you are about other people.

conversation is an art form and it's a lost one amongst many people today. if you're "shy" or have "social anxiety" then you need to practice socializing because it's a skill like anything else. the more you define yourself as "shy" or whatever, the harder it's gonna get.

if you think of a compliment, give it. people don’t give enough random compliments anymore, especially with no expectation of receiving anything in return. if it’s a stranger, give it quickly & move on. but I’ve seen firsthand how it can make someone’s day & it’s always worth it.

do you have any default rules for your life? like "no bread" or "always go on 2 dates" something

is it coil whine or just tinnitus? we may never know

“The next big one will be different” is a warning, not an aspiration.

I watched Miami Vice because of that one twitter thread and wow it's actually a really good movie.
