This is incredible he was born before all my great-grandparents!! And many of my 3rd and 4th were still living whebmn he was hatched in 1832!

#OTD in 1914, Joseph Paul DiMaggio was born in Martinez, CA. The most graceful Yankee of all. I always wonder what his numbers would have been like had he not gone into the USAAF during the war. Here’s my painting depicting him in 1936, based on the photography of Charles Conlon.

Harry Truman's 🇺🇸 mother was not a fan of Abe Lincoln (in Missouri her family was harrassed by Union soldiers during the Civil War). When Truman became President she allegedly threatened to "sleep on the floor!" if Truman made her use Lincoln's bed upon her WH visits #POTUS 😡
