As an abuse survivor, I deeply sympathize with any and all victims of sexual violence. But even more, I worry about the vulnerable. Why? B/c elevating men like Trump & Gaetz keeps many already-depressed survivors trapped in silence, shame, self-blame and hopelessness.
It's not a 'gut punch' or 'slap in the face.' Gaetz' promotion will deter and discourage victims of sexual violence from speaking up & reporting crimes. That, in turn, helps the predators and endangers the vulnerable. tinyurl.com/4wcaum5s
