🎉 Announcing the NMSM Pipeline 🎉 I finally get to talk about what I've been working on for the first two years of my PhD! The Neuromusculoskeletel Modeling (NMSM) Pipeline facilitates Model Personalization and Treatment Optimization for the neuromechanics research community!

This first-of-its-kind software developed by Prof. B.J. Fregly designs optimized and personalized treatments for movement impairments. 🔗 @RiceUNews: bit.ly/3pXSEDq

Why does @AmSocBiomech have three sections on AI & ML at the upcoming ASB conference?

📢 ASB Attendees! 📢 Come to the NMSM Pipeline workshop (WS2)! 🎉 We'll also be announcing the Stroke Grand Challenge! The Pipeline is designed to facilitate a broad range of biomechanics research areas for personalization of models and treatment design nmsm.rice.edu

I don't know who needs to hear this, but your biomechanics research software doesn't need to end with 'Sim'

📢 Today I will be presenting at #ISBJSB2023 on the NMSM Pipeline's first toolset: Model Personalization! Room 8 at 4:30pm! Easily personalize joints, muscle-tendons, neural control, and ground contact in OpenSim models through XML settings files. nmsm.rice.edu

I started seriously looking for a computational biomechanics phd position a week before the pandemic. At that time biomch-l had one posting every three days. Glad to see the space for phd, post-doc, industry, and even professorship positions is back to 2-3 posts a day

How do you become a *research engineer* in biomechanics or biomechanical simulation? As in, not a professor but still grant funded and focusing on breaking through new research

It seems like a lot of biomechanists here are doing physical experiments. Modeling and simulation biomechanics people, what are y'all up to?

When your optimization takes a different number of iterations on each lab computer

Ok so there are biomechanics people here. What's everyone working on?

Can someone point me to where the biomechanics people hang out? I don't think it's on here anymore

I love biomechanics and sports science marketing. Reuse the same 5 stock photos of athletes with exaggerated, unrealistic motion and put little white dots on them, throw a couple angles up, add a few numbers, and... Ta-da 🎉

First time catching Anya with a blep! #CatsOfTwitter #Cat

Dare I say, modern PhD students aren't given the space to learn and grow organically b/c of the competitive nature of grants and the flat metrics of success by funders. Valuable lessons that don't directly benefit the grant you are funded by are the first on the chopping block
