Keep showing up. Keep saying yes. Keep taking a chance on human connection. Do that for six months and let me know how your life feels.
Here are two truths to hold onto right now: You can feel anger and still find gratitude. You can celebrate while remaining empathetic to others. We all have the power to choose.
Seb: What’s your biggest dream? Me: To be at peace with the impact I’ve made on this world. It’s not always about MORE. It’s actually appreciating all we’ve already done. 🥹💔
Remember, we can’t expect the behaviors of others to change. Without first looking at the part we play in perpetuating that behavior. Sometimes it’s actually more on us than we realize. To fail to see that, is self deception. Our part is the only thing we can truly change.
I asked 47 strangers who they were grateful for yesterday in a park. The ones with the most in life were the least grateful. The ones with the least in life were the most grateful.
Emotions do not say an objective truth about our reality. Emotions say something true about our PERCEPTION of reality Gratitude changes our perspective. PERSPECTIVE changes our reality. I seen people shift their whole world around in six minutes before.
If you want comfort: Call Molly. If you want solutions: Call Chris Neither is better than the other. Molly is a reflective listener and connector. I am an Insight Seeker and Strategist. Both require empathy, they just feel diff.
Remember impact does not necessarily have to mean scale. Sometimes all you need to do is impact one person around you and you’ve done enough. Relax, you’re doing fine. Keep going.
Remember people are making millions and having an impact by sharing publicly about that idea you had in the shower this morning. That idea you thought nobody would care about. Start sharing about it. The simple one. Stop overthinking it. It’ll catch on like wildfire.
Remember you don’t have to completely reinvent the wheel. You might just bring a new (your) story to an old wheel. The market will already kinda know how to buy that wheel. It’s just packaged in a new bow. Originality + Familiarity = Success.
Sometimes a piece is better than the whole. This is true with hurricanes. What else is it true for in your life?
Remember, some people are just running too fast to see your true value. This doesn’t mean anything bad about you. And not so much bad about them. With time, their awareness will align with your true worth. It’s important not to harbor resentment. Give it time.
Slow listening is the modern luxury we can offer in a fast-paced world.
Great leadership is like a perfect plate of pasta—it’s not about how many ingredients you throw in, but how thoughtfully you use the few that matter. Simplicity in food (and life) enhances flavor, not dulls it.
The benefits of setting boundaries will always far exceed the cost of staying in a misaligned relationship. True human connection thrives on the courage to say no. Say no to others so you can say yes to yourself and your core values.
The real answer lies in the silence between words.
We need less spaces to process our shared trauma. More spaces to process our shared good. It’s a mindset ya’ll.
The problem we’re solving isn’t that the world is bad. It’s that we do a bad job appreciating the good. That small shift, can make a world of difference.
Be the person that people can tell their weird shit to. I call it The Confidant Effect.
Healthy relationships require tension. Not too easy = stagnant. Not too hard = stress. Gotta be a balance of both challenge and support.
