Please spread the word. The @churchofengland needs the data. The situation is not being monitored centrally, &we at @WATCH_ACT suspect it’s now completely out of control, with review being widely avoided in churches, where the PCC passed a resolution years ago.@synod @ChurchTimes

If your parish or a parish you know of has had a PCC Resolution relating to women’s ministry, & the Resolution has been reviewed, either during a vacancy or otherwise, please can you message me via Direct Message, as I am collating information on this for @WATCH_ACT Thank you.

For many, the Church of England is a place of sanctuary, so it's appalling that for the victims of John Smyth the Church was a place where abuse flourished. Yesterday I called on the Church to open itself up to Freedom of Information rules, to usher in greater transparency.

The Church Times today contains a lovely obituary to our dear departed friend Dave Lucas @Ord_Off Thank you so much Rebecca for creating this. ❤🙏

Let us not forget that while today Smyth victims are beginning to see some level of acknowledgement for what they endured, the victims of other abusers within the Church of England remain in limbo. When the Independent Safeguarding Board was wound up by the Archbishop's Council…

News on Sky News that Justin Welby has resigned.

The House of Commons will today complete the Committee Stage of the House of Lords (Hereditary Peers) Bill, which includes @GavinWilliamson 's proposed amendment to include the removal of the right of C of E Bishops to sit in the House of Lords. I can hardly think of a worse day…

Over the past two days my wife and I have been privileged to be guests at a Regional Synod of the French Protestant Church. I spent a lot of yesterday evening at a reception with the Prefect of the Ariege and the Mayor of Foix being asked about what is happening in the Church of…
