The might of Moscow and of NATO is nothing to sneeze at. That Ukraine is a natural buffer zone is proven by the loss of millions historically. So, if Ukraine can preserve itself without destroying the delicate balance, is the best we can expect.
Bingo. As with space exploration, where we used to have the will but lacked the tech and now it's reversed. The opportunity to help an ally democracy in Ukraine and destroy an enemy dictatorship in a just war is here, but the will to do it wavers.
