What an excellent read. Inspiration to keep advocating and fighting for justice at times when we may feel dejected or are distracted. Thank you @seyeabimbola ✊🏾

To mark the centenary of James Baldwin, I wrote a short essay for @TheLancet On what he's taught me RE responding to pushbacks. To beware of "strategic ignorance" and "the imaginary line of selective judgement". James Baldwin: ignorance, power, justice thelancet.com/journals/lance…

The simplicity and profundity of the biblical teachings of Jesus Christ would never cease to amaze me. His analogies seem so ordinary to begin with but tectonic in implication. #RediscoveringParables #Love #ThePowerOfStories

The story of a nascent organisation @NCDCgov that found itself at the heart of an unprecedented pandemic It is also a story about the dedicated #Nigerians that I met in public service Plus the impact it had on us, & everyone around us with @VIhekweazu A book we had to write

“This book provides a compelling narrative of Nigeria’s COVID-19 response, as told through Chikwe’s unique lens as DG of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. I commend this book for its exploration of Nigeria’s resilient response — a true testament to collaborative efforts,…

I stand with @seyeabimbola

Re: attack on @seyeabimbola: @GlobalHealthBMJ is an A1 #globalhealth journal bc its EIC values Global South voices & gives us an unprecedented platform to share our experiences on salient issues & to field work that would have been dismissed elsewhere. I stand with @seyeabimbola

Don't just be a reviewer when you are a co-author

Dear co-authors: when you’re providing input, instead of writing a comment saying “you should add a sentence/info about XYZ” you can just ADD THE SENTENCE and track the changes! Thank you in advance. #AcademicChatter

Seriously not the way to go. What about WORK, NO PAY?? We have doctors who have worked for months and are yet to be paid. In my centre, over 100 doctors on locum basis who are being owed. We have a HRH crisis in the country; I hope the govt can see it #NARDStrike

The silence of the government on this strike and their response with no work no pay is not the way to go. It’s easy to solve these issues. 1. Replace doctors that have japa the ones on ground are overworked 2. Pay to the doctors what’s due to them We hate strikes! #NARDStrike

Super-excited to be part of the 1st cohort for the #malaria modelling fellowship. Looking forward to applying the skills I will garner from this in playing my role in #malaria eradication Thanks to @coronams and partners @NCDCgov @NMEPNigeria @WHONigeria @gatesfoundation

Their expertise and dedication will drive us closer to a Malaria- free future. #MalariaModellingFellows #Buildingcapacity
