It is not our job to tell students they are not good enough for grad school. It is our job to show them what they need to do to make their dreams come true. I want everyone to succeed, they just have to be willing to put in the work! #AcademicChatter #AcademicTwitter

Yikes! I've been to that facility and it is amazing. I hope they can recover quickly. I am glad no one was hurt. wcnc.com/article/weathe…
These days, I call this social distancing parking. Not a fan.

The Estivant Pines Nature Sanctuary is home to hundreds of 300 to 500-year-old white pines measuring anywhere from 3 to 5 feet in diameter. This year marks the 50th Anniversary since the awe-inspiring trees in this sanctuary were saved.🌲 #Keweenaw #PureMichigan #AdventureNorth
My 16 yo got his first job this summer. I asked how he felt, and he told me he now had a purpose. I'm super glad for that.
1st reaction: this is bad 2nd reaction: we need to encourage the kids in our lives to get off technology, make friends, start a hobby, get a part-time job, volunteer, find purpose
Congratulations to Giorgio Carta, our 2023 Alan S. Michaels Award in Recovery of Biological Products winner! Sponsored by the Recovery Conference Series, this biannually recognizes outstanding advancements in isolation & purification of biological products.

I can't agree with this more! The pre-Reagan tax structure worked for a lot of people. I don't want to go back to the racial structure we had then, just a similar tax structure.
Growing up in the 60's and 70's, my father supported a family of 5 while my mother stayed home. He had a college degree, but we weren't wealthy. We had a nice house, vacations, and good medical care. In 1981, Ronald Reagan SIGNIFICANTLY cut taxes on the rich. That ended it.
Happy Pride Month! 🌈🐟
Would you like to become a "universal" engineer, with the ability, versatility, and knowledge to solve difficult problems for a wide range of industries? If so, chemical engineering is the degree for you. #mtuchemeng
Calling all families of future Huskies! 📣 Open House on July 28 is an excellent chance for high school seniors to learn about the Michigan Tech experience. Space is limited, so register early! 👉 ow.ly/mWhJ50OuuIV
You did an amazing job @rebecca_g_ong @mtuchemeng !
Second year of the new PhD qualifying exam format went so well and everyone passed! I'm so impressed by our students!! Congrats! Huge thanks to my colleagues who served on the committees and advised the students through this process. This gif is literally me now. #TGIF
I had a similar experience. They apologized profusely and then charged me $60 for two appointments, blood work, and medication. The US system is broken. #MedicareForAll
While traveling abroad, a friend ended up taking her child to a local clinic for an infection. The clinic was super apologetic they didn’t take US insurance & gave her paperwork for reimbursement. No need for that though, total out of pocket cost was LESS THAN HER COPAY.
