There’s absolutely no limit to this transformation. X will be the platform that can deliver, well….everything. @elonmusk and I are looking forward to working with our teams and every single one of our partners to bring X to the world.

Product is marketing. No one understands this like Apple.

A critical organisational asset to anyone, especially PMs, is to have people you can talk to *before* you can frame the problem. When it's just a mess in your head. These trusted folks accelerate getting to framing, where you can scale the solving exercise.

There's a huge temptation in product development to over-generify solutions. Instead of building a feature, build a framework. It's a version of "Brevity is confidence. Length is fear." We think by identifying 3 use cases for our thing we're de-risking it – in truth we rarely are

As a product nerd, the way Meta is managed – clarity of priorities, focus on impact, freedom to execute – can be genuinely awesome to watch. It's such an obvious and powerful approach, and so completely ignored by almost all organisations outside of tech (and a fair few inside).

After years of referring to “agile coaches” as largely pointless/actively harmful, I am slowly coming to the realisation that I have myself, in fact, become an agile coach.

Really, @duolingo? Do we have to introduce the word “shy” (timido/a) in reference to “daughter” (figilia)?

The highest priority thing is...

Fixed a tap yesterday that had been leaking for 3+ years. AMA.

The moment you have to say the word “server” the game is over.

Money is wild – Magic points you can trade for anything – Some players start w/ 10x or 1000x more points than others – Best way to get more points is to already have points – Second best way is to make phone apps or financial derivatives

First trip to SFO since *checks watch* 2011. Wild. Is Tony’s Napoletana still the best pizza in town? Is that burrito place at 15th & Mission still there? Can you still drive down that wiggly street??

OK, which ones did I miss? deadstartuptees.net/collections/all Top of my maybe list rn: – Yo – friendster – Megaupload – Juicero – DirectGov

Evergreen (even if identifying birds is easy now).

Remarkable to be working in Kings Cross again, a stone's throw from where I grew up on a canal boat moored at Camley Street Natural Park. I remember looking up in awe at the now decommissioned dystopian gas towers that Meta and Google offices now cluster around. Life is wild.

What's your favourite startup/company/product that went bust & why?
