The next generation of safe programming languages should protect me from malicious libraries. Everything other than returning bytes should be behind a capability. Auditing and minimizing dependencies isn't going to work any better than 'just write better code' did in C.
Like, the 'pussy in bio' posts should've been blocked within a day by one guy writing a regex. A few days ago I clicked 'explore' and saw on#1 trending obvious crypto scam using hacked gold 'business' accounts making tweets that got 22k likes (and 22k comments) in 5 minutes. Lol.
Spam bots are, in theory, a hard problem. In practice, Twitter clearly either doesn't have a few competent people working full time on it, or there are organizational issues preventing them from doing their job
