Disagree. Troops are not deployed, weapons are not built, spending is not approved without civilian DOD involved and Congressional approval. Always plenty of challenges to the “system” but there are a lot of guardrails when everyone is looking out for laws and regulations.

Can’t beat this drum hard enough. Biggest threat to our Republic and the new administration are generals and admirals with contempt for civilian control of the military. This cabal has ossified and blended w the permanent SES class believing they can outlast political appointees.

U.S. Defense Secretary Austin has sent out a memo to troops where he said the United States military was committed to an orderly transition to the Trump administration, adding that the military would not get involved in politics and was ready to carry out "all lawful orders."
And Pentagon confirms Russia has been notified. Putin could choose to say something potentially within minutes of a new President elect being named.
