I’d add. Clacton suffers acute poverty with one ward ,Jaywick, the poorest in England. Farage’s Reform, proposing blanket 5 per cent cut in public services to pay for tax cuts, will devastate it. He offers nothing but hate, division and poverty- with a cigar and pint in hand.

Shocked, but hardly surprised.
Shocked that @educationgovuk have again shown that they do not value Religious education. Even though @TheNFER predict a shortfall of almost 1/3 of target for ITT, SKEs will not be funded after 10/4 even though it will continue for subjects with a smaller shortfall. @NATREupdate

NATRE submitted evidence to the consultation on @educationgovuk #AdvancedBritishStandard. We restated our complaint that neither #religiouseducation nor #religiousstudies were included in the plans, the authors of which seemed unaware that the #RE is Statutory for pupils up to 18
Looking at the state of education, of British society and of the world, I wish we in schools and education spoke more of #SMSC than we do of #BritishValues

I have known people in those circumstances and it disgusts me that a supposedly rich country simply condones it and tries to blame the poor for their poverty and appalling situations when the blame lies with those who have power and financial clout but are unwilling to use it.
