@atkeeley00Postbac research tech with @pelhamjackie in @alexholehouse lab | At my best I am a student, a scientist, and a citizen.
Missouri was the first state to pass an abortion ban after Roe was overturned. Tonight, they became the first state to reverse a total ban
Missourians have voted #YesOn3 to #EndTheBanMO! This is an important step toward restoring abortion access in our state, *and* it’s as important as ever to give to @MOAbortionFund to help Missourians afford the abortions they need! MoFund.org/donate
The people that vote Republican will be contacting abortion funds the very next day for help. Be it in or out of state. Be it pills by mail or in office. It is the reality of the world we live in.
As we headed towards year five, we felt it was time to hand over the reins to some new hosts. We are therefore delighted to announce that Dr. Jackie Pelham (WashU, USA) and Dr. Lucia Chemes (UNSAM, AR) have agreed to take over the hosting roles!
Just read and loved @HopeJahren ‘s The Story of More after rereading and reloving Lab Girl. Hope Jahren sure can write! Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.
This was an amazing experience to have for my first first-author paper and I’m so grateful for @PelhamJackie 's guidance and mentorship and for trusting me with such a big project so soon after I joined her lab, and to @jefflotthammer for helping bring Rhythmidia to life!
We are happy to announce that Rhythmidia, a modern tool for analyzing circadian phenotypes in race tube assays, is out in @PLOSCompBiol Led by the talented @atkeeley00!! doi.org/10.1371/journa… (fig1) 🧵1/6
TY to sponsor @CaraSpencerSTL, my alder @VDanielaV, @saintlouispres, @AlderSonnier, @schubbard10, @AlderSheenBean, @STL4Ward, @Schweitzer88, @MBinFPSE, Alders Keys, Boyd, Vollmer & Tyus, @OldenburgSTL & @shanecohn for unanimously passing #STLBOA BB36 to support abortion access!
Today we joined @AbortionAction to celebrate the City of St. Louis Board of Aldermen’s unanimous support for reproductive freedom as they passed Board Bill 36. The bill removed outdated and unnecessary language from the St. Louis City Code relating to abortion clinics. #STLBOA
Do you like IDPs? Do you like phosphorylation? Check out my first postdoc paper (w/ @alexholehouse) now on bioRxiv: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…. We optimized pSer and pThr parameters for all-atom simulations using the ABSINTH-OPLS/AA implicit solvent model (1/7).
Thrilled to announce the release of Rhythmidia- the work of my first six months as a tech in the @PelhamJackie lab!
I am excited to share a new tool for the @NcrassaFungi circadian community for racetube analysis! The development of this GUI was driven by @atkeeley00, with support from @jefflotthammer Rhythmidia: biorxiv.org/content/10.110… github link below!
Stress granules can plug holes in punctured lysosomes. Stephen Plassmeyer & @alexholehouse @WUSTLmed explain how this role for stress granules in organelle repair has implications for defence against tuberculosis go.nature.com/3R0Pae0
Interested in understanding how and why IDRs matter for cellular function? @BBKrage and I took a deep dive into this question and – with excellent feedback and critiques from colleagues & our amazing editor – put together our perspective on this: nature.com/articles/s4158…
