The Parker Review shows that nearly 90% of FTSE 100 companies now have ethnically diverse boards, up from 74% in 2020 & twice the 2016 figure. The review was set up to improve ethnic representation on UK boards & shows we're moving in the right direction: gov.uk/government/pub…

It was great to be part of this event and discuss @changeraceratio, a new campaign to increase racial and ethnic participation in business.

Liam Healy from @diligentHQ and @aninian from @InvAssoc are discussing the various social issues that shareholders are focusing on in these unprecendented times. #GovernanceBeyondConf

An important milestone has been met! But investors still expect the remaining 41% of companies in the FTSE 350, to meet the @HA_Review targets by the end of 2020!

For the first time in history, more than a third of board members across the FTSE 350 are female. 🎉 This meets the target set by the government backed @HA_Review orlo.uk/Lo6GT (1/2)

Great to see such progress being made by companies. This is a critical year in which businesses need to demonstrate real change and meet the 33% target for gender diversity across their board and senior leadership teams.

One & Done boards, where just 1 woman has been appointed, are now seen as tokenistic in approach to #genderequality Significant progress has been made with the number of such boards in FTSE 350 falling from 78 (2018) to only 16; we encourage them to meet the 33% target by 2020.

So pleased that our focus on ‘one and dones’ has had a significant impact on WOB in the FTSE 250 this year. Proud the @InvAssoc and our members have played our part in creating this change.

The FTSE100 has progressed in line with expectations and is close to the target with the no. of women on FTSE100 Boards at 32.4%, up from 30.2% in 2018. It is likely they will achieve the 33% target for women on boards in the coming months. #HA_Review bit.ly/2rAAwAF

Peter Montagnon, journalist and corporate governance expert, 1950-2019 on.ft.com/2IU8zdm

A lovely tribute to a great man. Peter had such a big role in shaping the UK corporate governance and stewardship regimes that we all rely on today.

We're sad to have heard today about the death of our former director of investment affairs, Peter Montagnon. DG @huwevans71 pays tribute.
