Great work by @TomasLe24613418 Dr. Leon from now on!! 🥳🥳 Congratulations!

Can't be more excited to share that @TomasLe24613418 is now Dr Tomás León after a smooth oral defence! He used a combined forward-inverse modelling method to examine tsunami wave features of 3 events in N Chile for his PhD #proudadvisor with @ananth_w

I am delighted by the news that @UQ_News is at the top with highest number of Highly Cited Researchers (Clarivate) in Australia for 2021. Such a motivation to be working among inspiring researchers! #australia #university #research

In three weeks time I will be presenting my latest research on "Tsunami science" as an invited speaker at a five-day faculty development workshop targeted to academics, researchers, and students. You can find more details to register for this workshop organized by NIT, Puducherry

There’s still time to register for FREE. Looking forward to hosting you at Brisbane hub. #Coastal #Engineering

We've got two #AusYCSEC2021 hubs going up in #Queensland! On top of our #GoldCoast hub, our #Brisbane hub is hosted by @ananth_w and Alex Astargo-Moar and will be held @UQ_EAIT Register below and select Brisbane as your location! auscoastalresearch.wordpress.com/ausycsec/regis…

Nice weather for a field trip with @UQ_EAIT Civil Engineering undergrads. In this annual field trip, students use their understanding of culvert design and convince themselves that their design calculations satisfy the in field culvert dimensions.

#FlumeFriday One week until abstract submissions close. #GetItDone@AusYCSEC

With the ongoing pandemic, attending conferences and presenting research has been a challenge for most of us. If you missed presenting or networking with peers, here's our free Australasian Young Coastal Scientists & Engineers Conference. lnkd.in/gNcburS #FlumeFriday
