.@PharmGuildAus must come clean on its true stance on vaping reforms. Publicly, the guild says it's never had a "policy position" of listing vapes as schedule 2 medicines, but what was said behind closed doors to Senators? @SenatorJordon's comments in the Senate are concerning.

The AMA is highly concerned with the Chiropractic Board of Australia's decision to allow chiropractors to resume spinal manipulation on children. We strongly support @Mark_Butler_MP's move to seek an immediate explanation from the board. 1/2 smh.com.au/healthcare/hea…

The products may look enticing, but the negative health effects of sugary drinks sure aren’t. We need to lower the consumption of sugary drinks in Australia, and a tax on these unhealthy products is one obvious measure. Find out how: ama.com.au/sickly-sweet?u… #sicklysweet #auspol

Happy International Women’s Day to all the fabulous women out there. I’m so privileged to work with many of them every day at AMA and in my clinic. Investing in women makes the world a better place @NataliaVukolova @ama_media

Happy Birthday Medicare! 🎂. At 40, you’re not quite as agile as you used to be. But I reckon with a bit of a tune up and regular maintenance you’ll be good to go for plenty more years! @amapresident @ama_media @Mark_Butler_MP

The AMA has relentlessly advocated for reforms to the way our public hospitals are funded. The announcements out of National Cabinet this week are a sign governments are listening.

Health reform. Disability reform. A National Firearms Registry. Today’s National Cabinet was a very significant meeting. anthonyalbanese.com.au/media-centre/m…

This is such a brilliant announcement. Australians over 65 will have access to an effective shingles vaccine. This will prevent so much pain and suffering! 😁🥳

Making the shingles vaccine freely available for so many Australians is a fantastic initiative that will save so much pain, suffering, debility, and productivity/economic loss. 💉👏👏👏 @Mark_Butler_MP @healthgovau @RACGP @ACRRM @TheRACP @_PHAA_

6. The #Yes #Yes23 vote has little effect on me as a non-indigenous Australian. But it matters for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People. If you don’t know, don’t vote no. Care to know. Learn to grow. Giving voice to the community does not diminish your own voice.

A very multidisciplinary, multiprofessional room here today talking about perioperative care and the need for systemic improvement to reduce complications. Glad to see primary care space seen as essential to this @ama_media #postoperativecomplicationssummit
